McKay & Gould supplies Gould-ITT jet pumps with a full
1-year factory warranty.
We provide a special 5-year Pump Protection Plan for submersible pumps. This plan assures that if your new pump should fail within five years after date of installation, you will receive repairs or replacement at no cost for the motor and/or pump end. Service for pulling or re-installing pump is not included in the plan. This plan is limited to residential applications up to 1-1/2 HP.
With this special protection, you get the peace of mind that your pump can withstand the worst natural enemies of pumps -- corrosion, abrasion, and even lightning -- or else you get a motor and/or pump end FREE.
If our submersible pumps were not so capable of resisting these natural enemies, it would be impossible to offer the Protection Plan. The Plan is evidence of our confidence in the durability of our pumps -- we believe these to be the best quality submersible pumps on the market. The pump is still a man-made mechanical device with moving parts subject to possible failure. The maximum life of a pump varies, but the Plan assures you of a working pump for five full years after date of installation.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Is the plan pro-rated like some guarantees where the allowance depreciates with time ? No. The Plan is NOT a pro-rated plan. You get full coverage on the pump for the full five years.
How can you offer unconditional protection against lightning ? Because our submersible pumps feature the Super Stainless Franklin Electric motor with Built-In Lightning Protection.
How can you offer this extended protection against corrosion and abrasion ? Because our submersible pumps are designed and constructed with corrosion and abrasion resistant materials.
What if the pump fails due to parts wearing out ? If the pump fails within 5 years after installation due to corrosion or abrasive wear on parts, it is covered by the Plan for repair or replacement !
Is the pump effective against failure of the motor or pump caused by lightning ? Yes !
Does the Plan cover cost of labor that would be involved if the pump fails ? No. Service involved in removing and reinstalling the pump would not be covered.
If the pump fails and is then repaired or replaced, does the Plan remain in effect until the expiration date ? Yes. The coverage continues until 5 years after installation date of first pump identified on the certificate.
What if my pump is hit by lightning and the motor is put out of order and the electrical cable is destroyed ? The motor is replaced or repaired under the Plan but the cable is not covered.
